iPad, the new big iPhone

Here it is, the new apple key, the iPad, like a big iPhone. Steve Jobs today present us the new product of the factory. The iPad — with a 10-inch screen and weighing 1.5 pounds — will run all the more than 140,000 apps that can be used on the company’s iPhone or iPod touch. But the big addition is an iBook application that — with Apple’s own online iBookstore — positions iPad as an e-reader to compete with Amazon.com’s Kindle or Barnes & Noble’s Nook

PlayStation 3 finally hacked
The genius who jailbroke (read: hacked) Apple’s coveted iPhone has done it again. George Hotz, aka Geohot, set his sights on the PlayStation 3 and took only five weeks to “crack” the Sony gaming console.
This feat is remarkable due to the fact that the PS3 is the last remaining box that can’t be modified for pirated games, unlike the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. Geohot has remained tight-lipped on the sort of exploits he can achieve with his utterly disfigured PS3 pictured above, but we suspect loading unsanctioned programs to tap on the powerful Cell processor is one of the possibilities. Michael C. Hall, Dexter, Wins Golden Globe

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves has a baby girl
Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves have had a baby girl. The couple welcomed daughter Vida Alves McConaughey at 12:13 a.m. Sunday, the actor posted on his Web site. She weighed in at 7 lbs., 7 oz, and joins big brother Levi, 17 months.
McConaughey, 40, and Alves, 26, announced the pregnancy in June, blogging, “We pulled off the greatest miracle in the world one more time. Camila and I are expecting our second child, bringing more life into the world, making more to live for. The future looks bright as the family grows.”
